Avocados boost heart health

Scientists evaluated data from over 100,000 adults and discovered that people who ate between two-thirds to a whole avocado a week had a significantly reduced risk of coronary heart disease, along with a 16% decreased chance of developing cardiovascular disease.
The heart-boosting benefits of avocado come from their high content of monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fats, as well as a natural plant sterol called beta sitosterol – all of which help lower levels of inflammation and bad LDL cholesterol.
