During the colder months, we’re more likely to experience coughs, colds and flu, all caused by viruses that thrive in warm, moist conditions and are easily passed on when we’re all huddled together inside with the heating on and the windows closed.

Just as during the Covid-19 pandemic, the same precautions can be applied to help us all prevent catching and spreading viruses. Wear a mask if you feel like it, wash your hands frequently, carry hand sanitiser, try to avoid touching your hands to your face and if you’re inside, where possible, open the windows every now and again.

Combine these precautions with the nutritional tips we’ve highlighted here, and you’ll be giving your immune system the best chance of fighting any respiratory viruses that come your way.
