Going to bed earlier can help your metabolism to work more efficiently too, as sleep plays a big part in regulating appetite. If you don’t get enough rest, or you get bad quality sleep, you could find it harder to stay on course, as scientists at Pennsylvania State University found just five nights of poor sleep can slow down your metabolism, leading to weight gain!
