The brand was founded as a kitchen start up by Prea and Med Culmer in 2016, after the couple spent two years in Indonesia and were impacted by the environmental devastation caused by the aggressive cultivation of palm oil. When its ethically sourced palm-oil free products started to catch the attention of beauty editors everywhere, Bloomtown had to expand from its modest beginnings to a workshop in Cornwall, where all the brand’s products are now made.
