10. Walnuts

Walnuts are a veritable feast for the skin. First up, like avocadoes, they’re rich in essential fatty acids. The body cannot make these good fats itself, so we have to consume them in our diet. (The perfect excuse to indulge in avocados and walnuts.) Walnuts are one of the richest food sources of omega 3 fatty acids, well-studied for their anti-inflammatory effects on the skin, helping to keep it healthy and nourished.

In fact, walnuts contain a very similar nutrient profile to avocados as they’re also rich in skin-loving vitamin E.

So next time you’re having smashed avo on toast, sprinkle it with some chopped walnuts for extra crunch and extra skin support. Have this combo for breakfast, and you’ll get the glow before you’ve even left the house.

Beautiful, Inside and Out

How you choose to nourish your skin from the inside is just as important as how you choose to nourish it from the outside. Your skin would probably go a bit contrary if you smothered it with harsh, artificial ingredients and the same goes if you regularly feed it with unhealthy foods.

So, next time you’re looking for a new cleanser or moisturiser, it could also be worth looking down the fruit and veg aisle for an extra skin boost too!
