Sticking with the theme of not having turkey for Christmas dinner, what do you do if you don’t eat meat, but you love fish? Again, no problem for us, salmon it is! Salmon is an oily fish that provides healthy fats in the form of omega 3 fatty acids.

Omega 3 is a nutrient that’s essential for the health of our heart and brains, so eating salmon is a no brainer.

Salmon pairs perfectly with new potatoes and green veg, so when we found this super healthy Salmon with Roasted New Potatoes and Charred Broccoli recipe, we just knew it had to make this list. Broccoli is a true superfood, packed with important vitamins and minerals, and it’s a staple vegetable for us at Christmas and all year round.

Roasting the new potatoes makes them feel rather festive, instead of simply boiling them, and the same goes for the charred broccoli. (As for the lemon and mint sauce, it’s simply divine.)
