Seriously, is there nothing the avocado can’t do? This firm favourite superfood of celebs, hipsters and vegans alike is packed full of essential fatty acids – good fats that are, ahem, essential, for the health of the skin.

Found in the outermost layers of the skin, essential fatty acids help to keep our skin moisturised, hydrated, plump and supple, literally everything we need to glow and exude radiance.

Avocados are also rich in vitamin E, an antioxidant vitamin that has a moisturising effect within the skin (hello glow) and helps to neutralise those pesky free radicals, hell bent on damaging our skin cells and causing dullness. Vitamin E works hand in hand with vitamin C, so a squeeze of lemon over your avocado will enhance both flavour and benefit.
